Video: Nokia Ovi Store Add claims thousands of apps for Nokia N97 when there are less than 1000. False advertising much?

Nokia uploaded an advert on YouTube about the Ovi Store:

In the video, Nokia claim that you can “GET THOUSANDS OF APPS FOR YOUR N97 AT THE OVI STORE”

Now, “THOUSANDS” implies at multiple thousands, at least 2000, right?

Are there at least 2000 applications for the N97 at the Ovi Store? NO! Are there even 1000 applications for the N97 at the Ovi Store?

NO! NO! NO!

As to date there are 630 Applications, 234 “Games”, and if I even include the 69 themes, that’s 933 items. It doesn’t even go over 1000! (And it doesn’t even account for the multiple dictionaries/comics)

Without themes, that’s 864 actual apps. Only 88 “apps” were added in the space of 20 days since I last ranted about the Ovi Store.“7 things wrong with the Ovi Store”

There are 1000s of applications available for the N97 – but they’re just NOT at the Ovi Store.[unless Perhaps 1100 apps are gonna be appearing real soon]

I dislike false advertising, even if it comes from Nokia. And I’m sure other people will too! Lack of truth kills – just like how the “N97 was claimed to be the most powerful multi-sensory mobile computer in existence.”…er…LIE.

I’m not doing this to bash Nokia – I try to always tell things as it is (when Nokia are doing cool stuff, I praise it, when they’re doing something frustrating, likewise), and in this case, I’m concerned that people won’t take Nokia claims too seriously in the future if they keep making bold, misleading claims like this.
