hey mate, I realised I should have mentioned that the Navigation application is not finished, Nokia are still working on it according to a few sources. Also My N97 seemed to have come with about 6months navigation which was more then enough for me...seem to be changing my phone about every 5-6 months or so at this rate!!!

I heard about that Sygic application and based on the price of their N97 app it should be about 49.99 Eur which is about 46 GBP

"Navigation"
This software is not the same as the n97, but wroks way better when you start to use it

"The navigation is a bit confusing at first, but once you know what is where it’s good. The only thing it doesn’t seem to have is the turn by turn voice guidance (please correct me if I’m wrong – I hope I am)."

Yes you are right about it being confusing at first, but then it very easy to use, also turn voice guidance is not included, but then its only included on the n97 if you pay like £54 for it (you only get it for free for 3 months), also you will be able to buy very soon http://www.sygic.com/index.php/en/features.html if you need that, plus i be thinking nokia will update there software to do it and also make it a faster startup time

Well i'v mostly been using it on WiFi recently so I wouldn't be able to give a accurate estimate (and I have Unlimited data plan anyway) - I will switch to network only today and see what it is.

how's the data consumption on this phone's browsing? i use Opera Mini browser to save on connection charges since i dont have unlimited plan. will this phone be data hungry and eventually costly internet connection? thanks for a reply.

lasts about a day for me...I was getting just a bit less so I changed a few things like move all web stuff like facebook, etc onto a second desktop so it's not updating as often (not sure if that's true or not), and reduced e-mail checks to about every 2 hours which is fine for me!

Awesome first post - a N900 review!

Have to agree with much of the positive vibe towards the N900. Totally loving it! I'm even gonna have to go and actually give Maps on it a second chance now. It's the only part of the phone I haven't thoroughly checked out (that and X-terminal) as the load time is so annoyingly long.

How are you finding the battery life on your N900?
