The longer the picture, the narrower it will be:

1) because the 600 pixel limit of this page, longer images will be narrower
2) pixels are cut up top and bottom to align images. Longer the image, more likely corrections will have to be made and so pictures are narrower.

The pro version lets you shoot in higher res.
