The OS is open source and overseen by the Symbian Foundation, for which I understand that Nokia STILL contributes most of the resources. If the UX is so important, evidenced by Apple’s atmospheric rise in Mkt Cap, and the UI is so critical to the UX, is this purely a Nokia issue or is the UI also under the rooftop of the Foundation? [anyone?] To me, the UI is so important to the average consumer, Nokia should be putting all hands on deck to ensure the N8 UI is great…not just good. You would think Nokia’s management team would understand this simple consumer need.

if this survey was conducted by nokiaconversations, i guess the result is the same, most of the people want new looks of symbian and nokia theme,

these old nokia icons and theme was designed by a poor designer. Nokia need to hire a world class designer to take the job.
