I'm still using a nokia, because of it's user friendly, yes, the camera should be good but they have to maintain a good and visually more creative user interface...a good phone for me should have a responsive/clear large screen, good physical keyboard (preferably qwerty), good camera optics and should be really easy to use....

Suggestion: There needs to be the ability to subscribe to email follow-ups without a comment so I do not have to do this due to forgetting the first time and ticking the wrong box the second.

Samsung may be pretty and do cool ads but from my experience with family and friends that have them and supporting the windows mobile versions they are buggy as hell with OS quirks that just annoy the hell out of people. I know many people that have bought them purely due to cost and advertising. Not one would by a Samsung again.

It's really a stupid question. If they focused solely on camera phones then others would get close enough on cameras and they would loose out elsewhere. They have fantastic cameras but sometimes the OS lets them down.

Take the N900. Same cam as the N95 but picture quality is shoddy and it refuses to focus properly. I stuck with Nokia because of the cam on the N95 but also because I was highly impressed with where Meamo was going (or where early adopters of the N900 where led to believe it was going). I am sorely disappointed in the the camera on the N900 but when it accidentally focuses right the pictures are still stunning.

Nokia should keep their strong focus on camera quality but if they are to succeed then Meego and Symbian need to be able to compete with Android for UI experience (well and the iphone but that's a game all unto its own). There are already android devices from top end smartphone to value level.

RIM lead in QUERY? Can't stand the blighters myself.

They shouldn't concentrate on just camera phones, but they should start putting VERY good cameras in all their phones once they have driven the cost to include down a bit.

Imagine a cheap Nokia with a better camera than the iPhone 4. If it's possible, they should really do it and rain all over the "awesome iPhone 4 camera".

Agreed. Nokia shouldnt just stick with making cameraphones. And I know they aren't. They have different series of phones for different purposes. N for multimedia, E for business, C for low end normal user, X for teenagers and so on. Nokia is going well right now. And yes they should keep making phones like N93, N85, N92 and N8 that revolutionized the cameraphones and redefined the way cameras were integrated into cell phones.

And as for the contacts menu, I think MeeGo will have a different and better menu. The one on Maemo is cool but MeeGo will be better. Its supposed to be better in every aspect.

speaking or Qt look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSExXFxSnSw

probably some of this features will be seen on meego for internet-TVs.

also the comunity has start porting qt to other operating systems like:
1. android : http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/4167 - click the image to view the video
2. iphone : http://www.qt-iphone.com/Introduction.html
3. webOS: http://www.precentral.net/qt-app-platform-and-running-palm-pre
4. amazon kindle: http://www.griffin.net/2010/01/hacking-the-amazon-kindle-dx-part-2-qt-and-sudoku.html

if it's implemented well (and as a developer I have to say I'm quite impressed) , Qt will be embraced by a lot of developers because this way they can target multiple operating systems minimizing their cost and increasing their profit.
