speaking of nokia advertising, I emailed a tip in about the nokia live stage at Oxygen 2010.

http://www.facebook.com/NokiaLiveStage
two videos
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3XKYIXADsk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEodY5jommo

Over last few years Nokia has had a tent at the oxygen music festival (its the biggest musical festival in Ireland (where i live) by a long shot and it just finished this last weekend. They had a 100inch HD tv , showing the world cup final during the day and djs and music at night.

Basically i have been impress by the amount of work nokia put into advertising with festival goers who are generally young users and tend to go for phones that are ''cool'' or ''trendy'',and stuff like this will help Nokia keep an image as good company that offer stylist phones with social networking features, that younger buyers want.

(average attendance of around 90,000 a day, with around 80,000 of these camping on site for the duration)

I agree with Keith on this one, these Ads are cute. But just don't have the punch behind them.

I have now seen the facetime Ads and really it makes you go wow! I know that it is nothing new but still... wow!

Nope, it doesnt. I think thats where Apple outruns others. I mean, look at the iPhone 4 FaceTime ads, they are really touching and make us want to buy it. (OH I HATE SAYING THAT!)

But in reality, Nokia has been able to do that for 5 years now, and that too over 3G!

I think Nokia should make ads that connect emotionally with the people instead of making cartoon-like ads. Only children would like it and as far as I know, they wont be allowed to buy a cell phone :(

So Nokia should come up with better ads IMO :)
