Freeware: Weight Tracker by OffScreen – Free on Ovi Store

Here’s a free app available on the Ovi Store that I’ll definitely be using on a day to day basis.

It’s called Weight Tracker. As you can guess it tracks your weight. The interface is simple and easy to use. Basically each day, just turn the scale to your current weight, be it in lbs or kg.

You can’t however, fill in your future weight :p, only up to the current date (screenshots taken yesterday as I’m on my way to Heathrow Airport right now)

Apologies in advance for not having proper screenshots – it was playing up with the screenshot app so had to use my digicam (wish I used N82 instead, much better for phone screenshots)

CLICK HERE to download from the Ovi Store

It will automatically convert to either with a switch.

You can scroll the calendar to check out your weight, or even fill in weights of dates missed. What’s really cool is that in landscape mode, a chart appears that tracks your previous weight levels.

Similarly this can be done in either lbs or kg. You have to switch back to portrait to switch though.

As a tip:

  • measuring in pounds/lbs will often allow you to be more accurate and notice bigger changes from day to day
  • Weigh yourself at similar times to prevent the weight fluctuations due to food coming in…and obviously, processed digested matter coming out :p
  • Weigh yourself in similar clothing (nekkid maybe preferable but do it in your own home, not at the scales at your health shop or gym :p)
  • General health tips

I’ll be using Weight Tracker during my holiday to lose some darned weight I picked up. I want to wear the nice shirts I bought a couple of years back dammit when I could comfortably fit an M and not the dreaded L. 🙁 Darned Uni take aways!

Whilst tracking your weight won’t directly help you lose (or gain) weight but tracking (like with expenses) helps keep an eye on any progress, alerting you if you’re going off in the wrong direction (gaining more weight in my case) and encouraging you to see your results.

Exercise and healthy eating ftw ^_^
