Leak of first Nokia MeeGo handset coming soon
I know this is sorta a weird post but today I was watching quite a lot of videos on the Nokia N900 and the Maemo platform and thought to myself DAMM WHAT A PHONE !!! and became really excited for some odd reason if only Nokia supported it a little more. Eldar promised a leak would appear soon, but considering he is sorta in trouble with Russian authorities and Nokia he might have changed his mind. Anyway with Nokia World just over a month away I cannot wait 
. Then I saw this tweet and thought I had to post it .
(UPDATE) According to Twitter and some knowledgable people the first leak of Nokia’s first Meego handset should be coming in the NEXT HOUR!!!!! I am shaking writing this
Who is really excited about Nokia’s first Meego ?? device and who is going to buy one ???

Yep. I’m done waiting. I’ve eventually learned not to get too exited about Nokia anymore. If there’s a leak of anything, I’ll eventually see it. Chances are I’ll yawn then too.

))) Just like I expected. Just a tiny picture with a default phone design and some specs that could be guessed , however I don’t think nokia will use qualcom CPU on their devices. they are in good relations with texas instruments. we shall see.
This sounds ever so remarkably like that E7/N9 esque device we saw all the way last month. Why is this new, breaking or even considered important enough for them to spout it as a new MeeGo device from nokia is beyond me.

Yes and isn’t Qualcomm’s dual core chip running at 1.5ghz? Maybe it’s the TI OMAP 4430 @720mhz.
Nokia did sign some agreement with Qualcomm earlier this year though, and I seem to remember them saying they would start using their chips towards the end of the year so who knows.
There’s no way Nokia would need THAT much power. Shoot, windows 7 on a netbook doesn’t need that much.
Agreed, a standard Cortex A8 should be fine.
yes, Nokia said that a device will use a Qualcomm chip and the device is expected to be released at the end of 2010
I think this is another situation of delays at Nokia and at the end of 2010 may have turned into 2011 and therefore it could be a MeeGo phone

Sounds about right actually, except for the thickness, that is wrong and I know it.
They deserve torture, or breaking on the rack for pulling that stunt.

BTW, Now I know for sure that I’m gonna buy the N8 IF the first MeeGo device is like this. Coz Nokia said that MeeGo devices running on Moorestown @1.5 GHz will be due later next year. I’d rather buy the N8 if thats the case!

N900 is 18mm (19.55mm thickest part).. 17mm looks thick with 4.0 screen. i wanna see it now!
Don’t believe it. There arent any multi-core safe mobile operating systems out there at this time. Even though S^3 has some support it won’t work with multiple cores and neither do android or iOS. Closest according to roadmaps available now is S^4 but that’s not to say iOS won’t have that well before then.
