Are you here to troll or ask questions?
It syncs just fine to any desktop organizer that uses Caldav.
It supports multiple calendars and calendar items can be of multiple types,
to-do lists, birthdays etc.
Concerning filtering by data type, the universal search allows you to search a myriad of items including but not limited to mail, sms and calendar. Whether or not being able to few this things at a glance or with a single tap is not known at this time. Not like anyone’s been able to review the thing and all.

Does the Symbian^3 OS support categories?

No phone OS can be considered “smart” if tasks, calendar items, contacts, data files. . . if none of these things can be tagged with one or more category. If you cannot sync categories to desktop and web-based organizers, it’s just not “smart.” If you cannot create views of data which filters by category, it’s one stupid phone.

This ain’t rocket science; the Palm OS did it, a dozen years ago and more.

So, does Symbian^3 know sh*t about categories?

Yeah, it takes pretty photos. . .

Chances are, the OpenGL extensions and optimisations weren’t done at the time that “demo” came out.
Two reasons for thinking that,
Non-final hardware and quite early firmware.
Don’t write something off if you’ve yet to see the finished article.

Agreed….My friend bought a samsung wave , says that it’s far from perfect but his Wave runs super fast with decent battery life, .. The N8 or C7 might not be as fast but I hope it’s fast enough.

n8 finally seems generally a good phone by nokia but i think battery capacity (1200) is not enough, and its gpu power is to verify i see asphalt 5 on n8 and it doesn’t runs smoothly instead on samusung wave it runs really faster damn!!

Qt 4.7 is in beta 2 stage and probably will release the final version in august and N8 will come packed with qt 4.7 which is more adapted for mobile phones. I think this is one of the reasons N8 might be delayed.
