I a’m using this wonderful SlideIT keyboard for 4 months on my Nokia 5800 and just live it. It speeds up the typing a loooooooot.

Swype has actually been available on Nokia devices for ages in the form of the SlideID keyboard on the Ovi Store.

In practical day to day real life situation, it sucks big time. Peace! yep, tried it out on the galaxy s in the O2 store, even with that big screen i seem to get on ok with it one handed. i imagine with a bit of practice i could get quite fast. i've never liked pecking at touch screens to enter text but Swype seems more intuitive, give us the option i say.

My only complaint about the N8 …. where and when can i get this phone? The wait is taking too long. This phone will bring the bling back to Nokia.

May be you don’t know, but the investment branch of Nokia venture partners did investment in Swype long time back. I have been surprised so far that Swype has not been on Nokia handsets so far. May be they were waiting for S^3!
