WebTv Widget and possible applications

| September 17, 2010 | Comments (2)

Forum Nokia today released their WebTV template for mobile WRT-based applications for streaming media to Symbian devices. This is an important step in encouraging both developers and content producers like BBC, SkySports, Fox, Universal NBC etc to produce tailor-made content for Symbian devices. The ability to stream over both WiFi and 3G, variable bit rates and Flash and MP4 file containers and the .H264 encoding should make porting content from other sources (flash and HTML 5 video) to the WebTV app quick and easy.

Here’s to hoping for great content and opportunities in this venture in the future.

For any interested parties, the  template and a bit more information can be downloaded at the following website
