Unless symbian or meego becomes #1 platform for developers and then iphone or android second I don’t see any bad thing. even if this happen nokia will be cool for allowing developers to use such a tool. It’s like I’m using nokia tools to develop for android.
However qt outside symbian and meego is not official supported by nokia, so this ports will have some problems.

With the trend at the moment of the majority of people buying phones because of the apps they run, not because of the device itself … this can only be a good thing. (And by ‘people’ I mean not the ones who hang out here and actually think about more than a couple of apps when we buy phones).

This is my thought too… if qt can run on everthing, its both good and bad…

so, lets hope for the best…

not at all. it actually helps them since apple and google platfors has almost all the developers so this is a good way to minimize the porting time from one platform.

Or QT apps or games for iOS and Android can be rebuilt for Symbian and Meego.

There are still some technical issues with QML, in terms of security and script parser that Nokia are working on currently.

It means that software developed with qt for symbian or meego can be deployed on other platforms like android(someday)

I find it impossible to pronounce anyway other than Q T. Cute just sounds silly.
