Strange … the photo gallery (beta labs version) ran well on the 5230, and is scarily slick (ie. fast) on the N8.

But yes, it could do with a few tweeks and then be in the standard build.

I knew about the HDR, but that should have been here a year ago.

The photogallery is nice, have it on an N97 but is as slow as a snail on a salt trail.
But the concept is great, looks good, works well but needs minor tweaks to be implemented into regular FW’s.

They did do a HDR app a while back, albeit for the N900.

The “old” beta labs photo browser works perfectly with the N8, and definitely has a “wow” factor – you should try it.

They’ve obviously got a lot of developers, but you don’t necessarily speed up the development time on a project by throwing more developers at the problem (ie. the browser).

The music player isn’t really lacking that much other than the custom EQ and artist only views.

Agreed, for me Beta Labs should develop the cutting edge things. They should have made HDR photography a year ago for example.
Or they should be busy with improving the photo browser, they have an alternative version right now. But it doesn’t look as if they do something with it.
Same goes for Nokia Bots, those are the things they should be making. Not these ‘apps’ that should be made by 3rd parties.

The application is nice and the design is looking good(except for the symbian bottom blue bar) but I think this type of applications need to be done by third party developers not by nokia. Nokia should focus more on the basic applications like browser,music player and also improving the OS.
