Video: Rollercoaster Extreme 3D free at Ovi Store demoed on Nokia N8

| December 6, 2010 | 11 Replies

Jim sends this tip in of a video demo of a new game on the Ovi Store called Rollercoaster Extreme for Symbian^3 devices.

It’s a great looking 3D game which sits nicely under 11MB.

And guess what? It’s freeee :D

“You are riding the rails of eight individual rollercoaster tracks in the suburbs of New York City in Barclaycards Rollercoaster Extreme. Playing is easy. The faster you go, the higher your score. Tilt your phone left and right, grab energisers for extra speed boosts and look out for diversions that test your rider skills. Unlock new areas in the game and collect all badges at each level to prove you ’re a real extreme rollercoaster rider. It’s a tough challenge!”

i just installed it and its not working as smoothly on my N8, as it is in the video. I do not have any other applications opened while playing it either. Any ideas or suggestions as to how i can get to run smooth?

Nice and smooth on mine, not a bad game, easy to sit down for a quick play in the quiet few minutes here and there during the working day.

While we’re on the subject of games, has there been any news about new titles coming to S^3 phones? EA and Gameloft released some when the N8 came out, then there was no news or anything. Both companies have a few 3D games that would be pretty nice to see on the newer Nokias.
