According to my guesstimates people didn’t buy the N900 cause after 1-2 months of releasing the super-phone Nokia announced meamo as a dead-end and meego as the future. Fast forward 12 months later we haven’t seen any actual meego phones from Nokia yet.
Well i’m complaining cause I both NOK shares upon N900′s release and quickly sold them when I sensed blind executives running in wrong directions… But now, hey now seems like a good time to pick up some NOKs.

I don’t know why other people didn’t buy N900, but I do know why I didn’t and it’s a reason you mention too: Ovi Maps or the lack of proper version of it. I still don’t understand why Nokia screwed the navigation part in N900.
