LLAADD.

Ok, I’ve had the fMMS application on my phone for a little while and just recently worked out how to get it configured for my phone so thought I’d share it with you all.

Note: This application is in the extras-devel application catalogue so as always be careful installing anything from there…you don’t want to mess up your phone.

(sorry for the varying quality…still getting used to my camera and video editor)

I hope this has helped and I just wanted to add a couple of things:

  • Although I said in the video you can’t add another APN, I just found out you can using fAPN from the extras-testing catalogue.
  • Always enter numbers in international format, i.e. +447700000000 (Some times when people have selected contacts from phonebook, fMMS does not select the correct one so type the number manually until it is fixed)
  • When you receive an MMS and fMMS is not open, you will need to just tap on the “new message” popup then load fMMS to open it.
  • You have to manually switch to GSM and make sure it is not on WiFi when you are trying to send/open a message otherwise it will just never be able to send/receive and the application will freeze.
  • Currently only images are supported.
