Nokia N8 to replace TV cameras, filming SM Snowboarding Championships

| April 7, 2011 | 3 Replies

You may have seen Nokia doing some Snowboarding related activities as part of the Push Burton campaign. N8 with several sensors detects the snowboarders stats as they make their descent.

This may not be entirely related but it is Nokia N8 and Snowboarding. But it takes advantage of the N8 directly – it uses its camera. How?

Olli Koskella emails us to say:

I found this news article from Finnish website. Snowboarding Finnish championships will be recorded/filmed only with Nokia N8 cameraphones. It will aired on TV in Finland on Sunday.

From the link (this is the only bit from the translator that made any sense):

This is the first time on smart phones describes an entire broadcast.
