Last week, we heard how analyst Stela Bokun, Senior Analyst at Pyramid Research, predicted that Windows Phone could beat Android by 2015. Pyramid research felt that we misinterpreted their prediction. Actually, their forecast indicated with Windows Phone beating [...]

Following up on our recent IDC related articles, here is another one. One that is somewhat troubling to read for Nokia fans. Let’s start with some history and the numbers [...]
Free Form Widgets – another photoshop fail? Or sneak peek into PR3.0/Belle?
As a follow up to the Symbian Free Form Widgets (that we thought were going to be a part of Symbian^3′s PR3.0/Belle/UI overhaul update. From the tiny little images, we now have them in full size. http://www.nokia-smartphone.de/n8/ Apart from the clock working, the “widgets” are really just link placements. I don’t know why they would [...]

There has been a lot of talk about what OS shipped what amount of units and how well or how bad that particular OS did. Symbian was clearly visible in every chart and so was its declining market share. But where was Windows Phone? Is it such a failure that it doesn’t even register on [...]
