Nokia N9 prices 660/749 USD for 16/64GB
According to Colin Giles, Nokia’s Executive VP of Sales, the Nokia N9 16GB will retail for 660USD whilst the 64GB will go for 749USD. The price jump from 16 to 64GB is actually not that remarkable, not even 100USD difference (which would be 200USD if it was a green fruit product). Note that these prices are Nokia’s unlocked price (most likely minus taxes too so factor that in). Expect subsidized prices of course to be much cheaper when purchased with a contract. I’d say they’d be cheaper than Nokia’s own stores of course (but well, many are closing down in favour of selling to other larger, more traditional retailers).
For UK readers, this of course does not translate directly to converted GBP. Indications from superEtrader puts the N9 16GB at £599, unlocked. Doing a bit of searching, Expansys hasn’t got a listed price (though they do have a page for the N9). Amazon do not.
Note that these price tags are often at least 10-20% more than actual retail price (if following all previous price listings)
You can check the availability of the N9 at

I don’t know if more countries will be added to this – the N9 has only just launched (remember availability pages for N8 took forever)
BTW, Question. Is any phone coming with 64GB in built memory at the moment?
Cheers @UGN999
US$660
Colin Giles, Nokia’s Executive VP of Sales, has disclosed that the Nokia N9 will be retailing at US$660 (S$815) and US$749 (S$925) for the 16GB and 64GB models respectively. He revealed this information in a meeting with Malaysian journalists.

I will definitely buy N9. Why? Because what it is. It is the most beautiful mobile phone in the market (I know it is not in the market atm). It also comes with really beautiful idea behind it (MeeGo). I for one like my freedom. Freedom to choose where I buy (or in MeeGo’s case download, because many of the really beautiful apps are created by those awesome open source developers) my apps or other content. Freedom to being able to develop and install my own apps easily. I also like the idea of different organizations being able to work together towards the common goal.
But then again it seems that most of the people don’t care about the ideology behind the products. It looks like most of the people buy what ever they are told to buy. Told buy marketing machines or some “experts” with unclear agendas (advertising revenues…). I guess it is easier to “make” decisions that way (more like let some body else make it for you). I just wished that people would start to care about ideologies while there is still some left to care about.
Where we spend our money is only direct way of making a difference in modern world (unless your are a very active person politically or otherwise). People will get what they pay for. I would like to be able to buy MeeGo mobile phone after N9. That’s why I will try to promote (vote with my money) N9 and MeeGo as much as I can.
You’re right, but problem is that in our country isn’t available yet
so you’re lucky man
. Question…know you already how much will cost this phone? And in which country you’re located…?
reminds me of the N97 32GB and the N97 mini 8GB. the launch price was just 1k difference? lol. NOT BAD for this one. LOL.
at some point, the n97 mini was expensive than its full-packed older brother, the N97 32GB.
So 200£ less than the new X7, gotcha. How much you wanna bet the Nokia WP7 phone will be 100£ or more cheaper than the N9 and contain better hardware.
Sounds expensive but then again, Nokia phones seem to be quite expensive in the first few weeks of availability. I mean look how overly overpriced the Nokia X7
this is a single-core smartphone, without 4G, charging more than £400 for the handset is taking the piss.
Im expecting the 16gb to cost £499 and 64gb £599.
Naturally ive pre-order the 64gb at Expansys, want to be top of the list in case of shortages.
i dont think its that expensive its models are too many starting with the n95 and n94 its approximatly 499 in europe in UAE 287-300 drhams and 562-655 in the northern hemesphere travel, access, explore then u can find it suprisingly cheap
35000/rs. Ato taka ney.
Too bad, the specs are really nice, and the software features seems promising. But I think that is a little too expensive. I thought I would replace my blackberry and ipod touch combination. I’ll just get the PS Vita instead..
Great points altogether, you simply gained a new reader. What may you suggest in regards to your post that you just made a few days ago? Any positive?
