N9 Screenshots (part 1 of 2) #MeeGo #Harmattan
Yesterday, Nokia Conversations posted up part 1 of 2 of their MeeGo-Harmattan Screenshots posts, based on the response of what NokConv’s audience wants to see.
In part one, we can check out (if you haven’t seen in video already):
- Nokia Maps
- Calendar
- Contacts and Calling
- SMS
- Apps Menu
- ‘Other’ showing the feed view, facebook, twitter, accounts, multitasking and angry birds.
As I’ve mentioned before, I like the curved corners. It’s a small subtle change but makes a big difference in making it more up to date. The first time I saw this implementation was with Palm’s beautiful WebOS (Which is now headed by the ex Nokia MeeGo head, and of course Palm’s design guy is now at Nokia)

As usual the Nokia Conv comments about MeeGo have nothing to do with the screenshots.

Only hope I have for the calendar on this is better syncing with Google Calendar. It would be nice to be able to do it without using Mail For Exchange, which kind of sucks. Would be nice to see that improved, too, while I think of it.
It supports CalDav, no mention of specifics for Google calendar etc though.

does n9 keyboard support multitouch?
I believe so. Read somewhere the device can track up to 6 different points.
I want to know where Skype video chat is!
Also in answer to the above, Mail for Exchange has been improved and multiple accounts are now supported.
And I read somewhere that the keyboard is multi-touch.
they used the same layout in Symbi3nOS
sweet
screenshots, anyone knows how to take screenshot on n9? I don’t wanna use those screenshot apps.
There’ll prolly be a way to map one of the few physical buttons for that purpose.
nice, as usual…
Note the “Nokia account” instead of a possible Ovi account.
They will overprice it so they can kill it.
They won’t make deals with most carriers so as to not compete with windows phone from Nokia.
I don’t understand how this CEO makes business sense if what people want is this and not windows!
