@milanjakob tweeted us (well, me @jaymontano) that the Nokia N9 is on Amazon Germany. Listed at 619EUR.

Now Germany is one of the countries not yet on the list for the Nokia N9. But at least there will be a popular, reliable online vendor where you can get it from. (I’d much rather purchase from Amazon UK than Nokia were both options available – UK folks, remember you have Expansys and Play).

Here’s the list of countries where we know it should be available.:

Availability List:

  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Bulgaria
  • China
  • Croatia
  • Finland
  • Greece
  • Hong Kong
  • Hungary
  • Malaysia
  • New Zealand
  • Portugal
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Russia
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Serbia
  • Singapore
  • Slovenia
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Vietnam
Additions:
  • Italy
  • Philippines
  • Indonesia
  • Belgium
  • Brazi
  • South Africa
Network/retailer confirmed availability
  • Norway (via Telenor)
  • UK (via Expansys/Play)
  • Kazakstan
  • Germany (Amazon.de)

619 isn’t bad pricing for a pre-order and including VAT

i hope amazon UK and US get it too

  2. Mendax says:

This is great news! I’ve already preordered mine from Expansys Canada.

Also, Jay, I don’t mean to nitpick, but I think the proper spelling is Kazakhstan. Just FYI.

  3. Diogo says:

Nice to see Brazil on list, but Im waiting for Belle now :-)

  4. Georg says:

619€ wouold be very steep indeed. You can pick up a Nexus S for 242€ now including 20% VAT.
But then, who knows who is Nokia’s target audience, who knows how many they actually want to sell.

    • Jeff says:

In fairness one should compare it to iphone pricing.
It can’t compete with Android price points.
Well it can, but it’s clearly more geared as a competitor to the iphone.
Albeit w/a tiny ecosystem (comparatively) atm.

      • Zahid says:

yes n9 is the iphone kiler. They are using micro sim in n9 so that iphone 4 guys can use it in their new n9 also without having to buy a new sim. Also in the n9 manual, it seems the charger is very similar to iphone charger that is u use ur usb in the plug to charge through the wal outlet. And as some said that n8 had alot of butons and ports on its sides, and the iphone 4 was cleaner, the n9 is even more cleaner. Btw there is no place to use a strap in the n9′s body. So i thnk n9 is targeting iphone 4 customers. And gues what if tabco is nokia device, it can bring an end to ios devices. Hope n9 sales are good.

      • Jeff says:

Yes if it’s price on avg. is less than the iP4.
Then it’ll certainly be very good value.

But if it’s the same price on avg. as the iP5. Then it’ll have a very hard time…

So I hope Nokia’s aggressive with pricing.
I doubt they will be though…

As senior management don’t want the N9 to be a huge success :(
They only want it recoup most investments costs, & then they’ll quiet warehouse it.

    • Magister says:

I also think this is expensive. ~100 € less would be a good price.

    • JD! says:

The price you are talking about is from the Operators. Here the price is provided which is NO (without) contract phone. Even SGS II is also the same price or heigher.

      • Jeff says:

If he was talking about carrier subsidized ph. Well then that’s definitely not a fair comparison.
        And he should’ve known that…

With all respect, everybody except MyNokiaBlog knows that availability list of N9 is for countries where you will be able to get it from official Nokia webshop. N9 will be globaly available, so please stop repeating that nonsense about UK, Germany, USA and many more countries not getting N9.

I bought the Nokia C7 in January for 320€ so I wont buy the N9 till next year when the price falls under 400€. The SGS2 is just 495 so I do not think the N9 will sell too good… The people will stick to iOS and android. I love Nokia but lets be honest, Nokia is going down.

    • steal swipe ui says:

iphone hype is still there after four years. nokia has no hope! i like apple design, and this nokia n9

    • j says:

no i think people get tiured of android etc.. they just want a phone that works.

there is just one reason to spend more – a totally new design – like the n9

  8. Zunido says:

    Release it in Portugal already!!!

I wonder whats the price for the 64Gb version?

  9. Yemi says:

That price seems reasonable for 64gb. Expect 16gb to be around 500 to 550

  10. Simon says:

N9 will be avaible in Denmark by 3, Telia and Telmore (right now):)

  11. stylinred says:

you guys should be used to Amazons “pre-order” price scheme by now…

closer to release date the price drops

  12. visitor says:

This is too expensive. I hope the street-price for the 64GB-version will be around 600 €, to be competive. I wonder if ‘Sea-Ray’ will be as expensive as N9 because of similar design and hardware.
Nobody would buy it and the return of Nokia would come with a big question-mark.

  13. opro says:

In Switzerland you can buy the 64GB Version for 699 Swiss Francs (aprox. 630 Euro). The 16GB for 629 Swiss Francs (aprox. 567 Euro).

    • Jeff says:

      That’s actually fairly good…
      Compare that to IP4 (N9 isn’t a direct competitor to iP5) & it’s an excellent buy.
And the price is only going to get better.

  14. luter says:

are you kidding me 619 Euro i better buy a cool android phone like Samsung Galaxy than this
