Nokia 800 May Not Be Sea-Ray (Nokia XXX)
Sorry if this is now old news, this post was held back due to the influx of traffic caused by the Symbian Belle Launch.
We brought you a post last week, regarding a Windows Phone Developer, Elbert Perez, who featured an image of downloads for his game. This image showed the game was downloaded to a Nokia 800.
Thanks to a tip by mprince, I headed over to Mr Perez’s site, OccasionalGamer, to find that in fact there are two Nokia devices running.
Nokia 800 and Nokia SeaRay.
Could they be two different devices or the same? Similar to C7 and Astound.

Can’t be, as it seems to be running a crappy feature phone OS (Windows Phone 7 or something like that.)
Yes, instead of the crappy UI Symbian.
Have to agree that Bluetooth file transfer should be in WP7. USB OTG is not so important because you have to be carrying the cable everywhere…
I would rather carry a cable with me than my 14 inch laptop.

I hope Symbian gets the N8′s successor rather than WP7
You’ve seen the new Symbian phones. They target the low-end. N8′s successor will definitely run Windows Phone
That’s not true at all. As per the story Jay published recently with my insider info from a UK network person the next high end camera phone device from Nokia will be Symbian based and it was implied to me because WinPho is not up to the job yet.
I’m not excluding the possibility of a high-end Symbian, all i’m saying is that the company’s premier models will run Windows Phone. It is more than ready now
Symbian will get the N8 successor – at least as regards the camera capabilities, I don’t know about other specs. Coming next year – not sure when but hope 1st half.
hy if you d ont like symbian get out and for your preferences we need more updates for symbian (users) and the good the best like we have seen is N9 no WP and in few years the ecosistem will be complete for finish dependence of MS

Is nokia gonna use 800 series and 900 series for their windows devices or just 900 and leave 800 for their highest end symbians, aka belle n8, e7, and x7 sucessors?

You can Buy the N9 on Amazon.com, what’s the problem?
They’re probably different names for the same device in different stages of development or each device that people have may have different names relating to software date or the date they obtained the device. I don’t think they’re different phones.
