ThisIsMyNext says that ASUS’ blade thin MeeGo netbook that we first saw in May, the Eee PC X101 is available for Pre-Order.
It’s also a pocket friendly 200USD.

It’s very tempting. If only there was more like this, MeeGo would have gained much more traction on the portable laptop scene (alas, many factors including the lessened appeal of MeeGo is the munching away of netbook market by tablets)

asus should make a high-end meego netbook

the idea of a netbook is to be as light as it can, and with a huge battery life.
Just ordered mine from excalibur pc. Saved tax becase they are based in California… Need that meego!
Too bad intel dumped meego for android, meego really have potential…
well, maybe if AMD take meego for a spin… who knows…
I’m guessing their decision to dump meego was hugly based on elope’s actions..
?? They haven’t dumped it…
Android’s too big to ignore for handsets though.
So of course they’ll leverage that.
AMD is part of the MeeGo team.
Yet to see much from them AFAIK.
not really thin with that protruding battery
In Germany, this is actually availabe for a few weeks now on Amazon.de. Bought one for my little brother mid of August there for 169 €
4 hours is still low for a Netbook.
Pre order? I got mine 2 weeks ago. 170€ and already sold out. I installed Ubuntu on it and it runs great.

I have mine since 3 weeks. Currently it is 14th in the Amazon netbook bestseller list in Austria. It was 7th but is sold out since some days. I think it is performing better than Asus expected. The white version was sold out 5 hours after start.
Also Acer offers a Meego netbook which is 2nd at the Amazon bestseller list.
