No, but if they're written in Qt then it should be relatively easy (in some cases, trivial) to port them to Qt on the N9.

Do you really think Nokia would be making only 92,000 units and launching this product on all of the major operators in Australia, plus China, Finland, Sweden, UAE, South Africa etc. etc.? It just doesn't stack up, the guy has zero credibility and is just spreading FUD.

What may be true is that Nokia only manufactured 92,000 N950's before canning the device (apparently due to suspect hinge design). But certainly I can't see supplies of the N9 being limited, not unless it's a runaway success of course. :)

Yes. I have an N950 and the virtual keyboard is so good that I no longer use the hardware keyboard, except in xterm as I need to see more of what is on the screen.

It's a better virtual keyboard than Android, probably on par (if not better) than iOS. Haven't tried the WP7 vkb, not likely to either.

Eldar is a loser who constantly tells lies about Nokia in order to play Nokia down. Some people say that he gets funded by Samsung, and at least his bias for Sammy is pretty clear if you go to his blog.

I would not trust Eldar a penny's worth, and I don't quite understand why anyone else quotes him in their blogs or news.

Jay, any thoughts?

Exactly, if they made only 92,000 they wouldn't be doing massive billboard ads or have done the N9 seconds campaign.

I imagine the steady country shuffle is based on where the strongest positive reactions are coming from. In countries where a lot of people are enthusiastic about the N9, more stock is delivered. In countries that people were somewhat ho-hum about it or didn't care at all, the N9 doesn't show at all.

Disappointing for Nokia fans in these neglected countries, but it makes sense, it would be better for Nokia to make sure that in the countries it's available in it sells really well, not just in terms of selling out, but in large volumes too. I doubt the US or Canada would ever get it, given they're going to be doing a completely different marketing push here, but there's a chance that the UK and HK get it again at a later date.
