Video: Nokia N9 vs Samsung Galaxy S2 Browser and screen comparison

| October 16, 2011 | 20 Replies

Ahmed Saleem shared this to our facebook page, a video showing the Samsung Galaxy S2 browser against that from the Nokia N9.

They both seem to load sites fairly quickly, with SGS2 slightly edging out the N9, even when loading flash. Panning and scrolling is both comparably smooth, with N9 not producing chequerboarding where SGS2 did.

Screen and image comparison occurs at around the 4 minute mark

video quality isn’t really good enough to be able to make out any meaningful differences in the screen quality.

Great comparison. Sammy’s screen is brighter but has a blue tint to it, too much saturation leading to loss of detail in the stuffed animal’s picture. Sammy does seem to have a better browser with Flash support. But keeping in mind that the N9 only has a single core ARM as opposed to the dual core, the N9 keeps up very nicely. :)

Nokia finally has their own competitive mobile OS. Nokia should continue with this OS and creates a n9 successor with dual core processor (Omap 4430) and 4g radio.

why all the icons on the SG2 have the Anna-ish look, with the browser icon looks exactly the same? does it run a custom theme or that’s really how the SG2′s UI looks like

  5. Jesse says:

N9 seems to have better colors and contrast but it is hard to tell without seeing it in person.

  6. giorgos says:

    N9 should have been a A9 phone.

  7. Rock says:

Galaxy S II much brighter, both have weird tints though
