Nokia RM-809 passes FCC – Nokia 710.1 (USA?)

Something called the Nokia RM-809 has passed FCC. On the test pages, it shows it has a BP-3L battery, may come with WH-208 headset, Nokia CA-101 microUSB cable and it was tested with a Lenovo T61 laptop and USB memory stick.

https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=930689&fcc_id=’QMNRM-809

How’s a USB memory stick even possible if it does not account for the microUSB OTG connector?

What is this device? A search reveals some info found by WPCentral that this is actually the Nokia Lumia 710.1 – yes a variant of the 710. They note T-Mobile USA specific 3G bands. Do you remember that Michael also posted about the possibility of the 710 coming to the USA? You’ll note that

  • Nokia C7’s US counterpart, C7-00.1
  • Nokia 710 is RM-803
  • Nokia 710.1 is RM-809
Cheers PJ for the tip!
