We got an email and a screenshot from Aklanai saying that he’s just got the Symbian Anna firmware for his Nokia N8 in Australia. This is also confirmed by Yvonne from Nokia.

Screenshot is 059D597 P/C which is Dark Grey N8 Australian Variant.

Long time coming.

Vodafone also has a post that coincides with the Australian release of Anna v25.007

Might just be for Vodafone users, but I’m on an unlocked device and got it the exact same time as them!
Therefore I assume it is most Australian handsets.

I was ONLY able to do this over Nokia Suite via USB – OTA was not available for me.

Yvonne from Nokia writes:

In case you didn’t get it via other channels already: We’ve now published Symbian Anna for Australia this morning. All customers on unbranded as well as Vodafone, 3 and Optus variants can now update. Telstra unfortunately is not available yet as we are still waiting for their approval.
