‘Official’ Twitter app for S40 phones by Nokia.
In carrying out their effort to connect the next billion and make mobile internet available to everyone, Nokia has released their own twitter app for S40 phones called “Tweets by Nokia” the app is availble free for all S40 phones over at the Nokia store.
Tweets by Nokia lets you access Twitter on mobile phones. See the latest information from your friends, follow interesting users, tweet what’s happening, check the trending topics and follow the conversations.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’d take this ‘not so appealing UI app’ over the garbage application called Nokia Social on my N8 any-day. It seems to have more functionality than the S^3 social app as well, I haven’t used mine since I got my phone but I don’t think it had a “trending topics” or “public tweets” options.

Nokia has to write all the Twitter and Facebook apps themselves because neither Twitter nor Facebook nor anybody else bothers to write the software for Nokia.

S40 has been better than Symbian for ages. It’s almost as if Nokia never took Symbian seriously and only ever focused on their low end offerings because that’s where the volume was.
the app is sooooo sluggish.
God whyyy did snaptu remove twitter?? In my opinion,zat was s40′s best twitter app.
Truthfully i prefer the mobile web version cos itz faster.

When I downloaded it first time,it worked quite well on my Nokia X2-01 V 8.63,I was so happy to see maps and picture uploading in it,no need to rush to twitpic for sharing photos,but when tried to start it next day,it didn’t work,it was asking for network connection,and my network connection was strong,I tried it many times later,but no change. Disappointing
I think the tweets by nokia app is a complete waste of time. The UI is terrible as if dats not bad enough, it doesn’t connect. I really miss snaptu!
I just downloaded this from Nokia store, what I like with this app is it automatically refreshes the timeline unlike in Nokia Social app. But I agree that UI is quite off the track. I wish there would be an upgrade.
just download tweeties for symbian it’s so much better it’s just like iphone and android … It works on N8 C7 E7 X7 C6 E6 nokia belle and S^3
