Rumours: Official Symbian Belle for Nokia N8 in next week or so?

We’ve been a little more cautious in presenting possible availabilities for firmware updates unless it’s A) from Nokia B) reliable source.

From DailyMobile, there’s DannyCanRock – remember that name? He’s the guy who leaked the first Belle and did some demoes. On the 12th November, he said:

“I think u guys should be ready for belle update within a week to 9 days for n8 – e7 – c7 have a nice day :}”

I’m not sure his history was in predicting previous things but someone else who, I guess, knew him said:

And our resident leaker strikes again. If you get it right again, that’s 2, danny 0, non-believers. Lol.

But more than that, the official Nokia Symbian Belle page was accidentally updated to say Belle was already available for download for a few S^3 devices. Do you remember when this accidentally happened for Anna and they just had to take the entire page down? Anna as you can remember was also released shortly.

Just to repeat, Nokia has officially, consistently said Belle availability in Q4. We are exactly in the middle of Q4.

Based on the many broken rumoured dates for PR2.0 then Anna, regardless of who outside Nokia says it – or even in Nokia, I won’t believe it until I see folks shouting/tweeting/blogging they’re getting the update. Some of you are already on leaked Belle anyways, probably aren’t that excited as  you’ve been enjoying Belle for a while already. We posted about a new update on that leaked version yesterday.

Cheers Michael for the tip!
