Leaked? Nokia 801 pics.
Ooh new phone 
. Here’s something apparently for the China Market and called Nokia 801. It’s not the 801 N8 successor, just some Anna variant for TD-HSPA.
Oddly at the front there are no buttons. There isn’t even any room for buttons.. Where’s the Symbian menu button though?
The camera says 8MP, it has dual flash and a speaker grille. The metal in the middle curves perhaps to the front to that prominent bezel. Something about it makes me think about the N72.
Not sure it’s in keeping with the new Nokia design. Maybe it’s one of those things that look better in person?@ :S I hate that lumpy bezel thingy.
The side is a bit odd. The buttons are kinda small.

maybe it has no buttons because it comes with symbian belle and symbian belle doesnt requires buttons

Perhaps. Haven’t spent that much time with Belle – how does multitasking work without a menu button?

Woudln’t be to hard to open the multitasking menu on some other button, like the one between volume and camera. Or start it by pressing vol-up and down at once.
Swipe. Didn’t Elop say that Swipe will find its form in different Nokia products !
the menu button on belle is now down left on the screen (i am not talking about the left call-menu-right end feature)
the new menu down left of the screen with long press it does not multitask (at least for now) …. but i guess with an update can bring the mutlitask option (if press and hold, that left down menu button)
this is not too hard to be done with an update as are all ready some 3rd part apps doing this like tap2menu, go to menu
unless this new 801 has carla build

by the way my nokia 701 is mutlitasking 33 apps like a nokia N9 you have post before(hehehehehe)
nokia N9 has got 1 mhz processor, 1 gb ram
nokia 701 has got 1 mhz processor 512 ram
i guess the little technical i know both can open about same apps because are 1 mhz processor but N9 should open tham faster in multitasking as 1 gb ram is double speed of the 701

in theory for multitasking both should open same amount of apps but the n9 should open them faster
you clearly haven’t lol they will implement a new way to multitask for with belle and swipe….the button and hold to ms needs just one button on belle but not sure how Carla and donna are gonna be applied

the bottom looks weird with the glass that doesn’t come down to the bezel but you can see a separation.
N8 successor will be a 9xx, no matter which OS it will run (symbian, wp, meego, or even s40 :p). As for this device, it have an X7-N8-touch in terms of design!

anyway, i hope carla symbian remove the button and and use swipe/virtual menu button in working app(like nemo)
may use touch button that will appear when the phone is switched on

Ugly Nokia N8 replica….
I am GLAD this thing is for China. There are somethings about the design of this handset that I like but there are many things that I don’t like at all, in design.
I do multi-tasking without the menu button. It is through menu Option before that Menu App. But yes agree there are many cases that doesn’t work and one need the menu.

There were many rumours that something called a 801 would be the N8 successor (then N8-01). Clearly this isn’t that.

Calm down, TENAA to China is as of FCC to USA, they won’t do fake pictures. AND, they are just famous by taking UGLY photos, no matter how awesome real phones look like. If you are interested, you can search their picture for phones such as N8, iPhone4 and Moto Razr

The design looks too outdated/cheap/poor to be a serious device. I might even think its a Nokla.
