Nokia N8 Symbian Belle v111.030.0607 appears on Navifirm
Well, last week the Nokia 603 got updated to v111.030.0607 and we were told the N8 would officially get the same firmware. Some have already flashed the leaked version of v111.030.06.07 onto their N8 already.
Yash reports it’s on Navifirm so that suggests it might appear on official streams soon?

Just in time as my N8 is starting to become very laggy with anna, and I can’t be bothered to reinstall current firmware. Plus its not my main phone anymore!
Stupid question. I bought an N8 from a carrier store, sim locked. I’ve since left that carrier and unlocked the phone. If I were to flash Anna or Belle onto it, would I have to unlock again?

Firmware has nothing to do with sim lock. I assume you unloked the phone with the subsidy code, right?.
You can flash with any FW version you want.
Yes, it will still be unlocked.

Please please please let this fix the battery issue. My N8 never lost a single bar of battery life overnite w/ ^3 but after Anna, it would be dead after only 8 hours. Anna fixed the purple tint issue, hopefully Belle will return my battery to its former glory.
Battery is probably old and needs a replacement
Saw this on Navifirm yesterday.. Only the one for N8, and none for E7.. however as mentioned , the NSU server is down today and so is Navifirm , so we may see some extra variants later today.

I like that the pull down status bar is now available when using the QML Nokia Store now! Also, the system font is bigger and better when using the Web browser. I’m guessing it is Nokia Pure…whatever it is, it is a major improvement!

hey nokia how much more time we have 2 wait for the belle update atleast update us by informing the exact date….
during the anna update,the firmware was rolled out on 17th aug on navifirm and was avaliable on nsu and ovi suite on 18th.i m xpecting belle within some days bt getting tired of the wait…
hrm, so by that logic Australia, Canada, and USA still have about 2 months before Belle is available to them….

I guess there are a bunch of jobless Symbian developers in Nokia right now and the only thrill they get is watching the mass run for Belle. When the desperation goes down they leak a firmware.
Now i guess they’re out of betas to release so they put it up on Navifirm for sometime and play around. Grrrr Nokia come on just release it already

the good point is ram memory management, now without restarting from yesterday, i have 112mb free ram… better that was it before(on Anna)
It seems that both Production External and NCS servers are down on Navifirm. And the N8 v111 has been blocked for downloads since yesterday.
I’m really not sure this is the beginning of the Belle roll out. It looks more like a failure of Nokia’s servers. If you think about it, just because someone is uploading stuff to the server, it doesn’t mean that server has to be shut down.
just flashed. Damn! it starts with polish language as default… 6 home screens.. got a new link called top games which connects directly to gameloft. 2 icons for internet. actually not worth flashing as it is T-mobile firmware variant..
i have deleted some of that apps, but i cant delete “Hero of Sparta” and whatever i do, when i open web, start with T-Mobile Polish page… damn…
i chose english, then i install Swype 2.1 from NokiaBetaLabs.com and my country language pack… it works better than leaked versions…

If unwanted files are removed with Nokia Cooker, RAM can be increased to approximately 125MB… This FW version does not require editing via phoenix as prior leaks thus loads smoothly and in safe-mode as an official version.
