All I was told is…..
“Meltemi is a huge project, same scale as Harmattan.”

He also explained that (unlike harmattan) devs are spread-out much more across the globe.
He was offered the same position in meltemi coordinating those devs.
But unlike harmattan, that would’ve meant much more travel.
So this is the main reason why he left Meltemi for MP.

MP = Mobile Phones…
It’s a division inside Nokia, & Meltemi sits underneath it.

Hm, I don’t get which scale he ment? Number of devs working on it? Hardwarewise? Sales volume?

I was chatting with konttori recently…
He confirmed that meltemi is on the same scale as Maemo6x (meego) was.

PR1.2 corrects a lot of usability issues and some nasty bugs. Although I like my N9 and don’t want any other phone, I was hesitant to recommend the N9 to everyone. With PR1.2 the N9 gets “grown up” and I really can fully recommend it to everyone. I think it will sell good for quite a while, even after L800 and L900 are forgotten. Maybe not having any sensational high sales figures, but a “long tail” with an impressing total number of devices.

You mean #121….
Lets hope it’s made it to 1.2, unlike #198.

#198 was a very nasty bug like #121.
But apparently it hasn’t made it to 1.2
Read the comments in the bug…
Unless the dev has been misunderstood.

Showing up in Europe also in ad leaks. I’m sure as a n9 owner I care about Nokias success with the lumia line and anyother line they are working on. That source of revenue helps pay for our upgrades. My E7 is good, my n9 is better, my 900 will be best unless you can come out with about 60,000 apps and a free xbox for my n9 by 900s release date.
