I rarely if ever do Windows Phone app news, reserving app talk to lumiappaday (as there is  too much in the way of app news on WP). On Friday though, I did notice a really interesting video that shows quite a significant and important improvement over one of the apps we demoed – lumiappaday #51.

Ask Ziggy has undergone a facelift and now has a huge tonne of new features, as demoed by WPCentral.

Voice commands aren’t for everyone but if you wanted it, this is a great app to install. Lumia do have their own set of excellent voice commands by default. Reading txt is often used, as is voice command to call and start apps. I would love for Ask Ziggy commands to be added – if at least just to nullify the advantage of Siri.

There are so many new features that there’s quite a hefty instruction set that tells you what commands you can initiate. You can set your own nickname so it knows what to call you (like siri) and you can tell it to make reminders (like siri) but you can also do various additional commands that Siri doesn’t do.

Some very excellent work by Shai Leib!
