Video How To: Nokia 700 Digitizer & Display Screen Replacement
Screen replacements. Or any type of phone disassembly. This is NOT something I would recommend anyone try.
But I have come across plenty of people who have said they’ve had to replace screens themselves so I guess there will be people out there who might find this useful. e.g. if you smash the screen and it needs replacing. Some places might charge an arm and a leg for repair.
Note, this is not covered in your warranty so be warned in case you break something.
Fortunately in this video, you can see just how to take the screen apart properly.

I’ll be replacing my N9 screen, which has a crack in the top right corner, following a video done by the same guy. But £95 for the digitizer seems to be the hardest thing about it all.
I now have the N9 and apart from a small plastic part at the bottom left of the screen for the LED, its the same procedure as the 800. I’ve run through stripping it completely down to the bare case. I hope to make the video soon..
Great news, just messaged you about that…
Many mths ago you were going to do a bunch of N9 videos.
But since then you seem to have done a heap of L800 vids instead.
Thought you’d totally forgotten about the N9.
Thanks for your work.
They are very similar, but there’s also many subtle differences hw-wise etc.
@LE55ONS
Can you please notify MNB once you’ve done your N9 videos?
Thank-you!
The very own LE55ONS !! Man I don’t even where to start. First of all, thanks for making those DIY fix videos. Specially the nokia ones. I was able to pen my nokia N8 with your help.
You explain very well, and the procedures are clear.
The N9 is pretty easy but i got an damaged torx head. I was very lucky to get it out at all.

Gosh the adorable 700 running Belle PR1….
Well, now I have been using her (the red 700)and I am in love with this small beauty…
I did that with my brother’s c7(astound)… in short thanks LE55ONS
I completely disassembled my Lumia 800 just to see what’s inside
And it is much less cluttered than the 700!
I’ve dropped my phone a few times and the bottom 2 corners are now curved.
I wanted to replace the body(currently black, want Cyan or White) but unable to find it. Where can I get Lumia 800 body?
