Video How To: Nokia 700 Digitizer & Display Screen Replacement

| May 20, 2012 | 11 Replies

Screen replacements. Or any type of phone disassembly. This is NOT something I would recommend anyone try.

But I have come across plenty of people who have said they’ve had to replace screens themselves so I guess there will be people out there who might find this useful. e.g. if you smash the screen and it needs replacing. Some places might charge an arm and a leg for repair.

Note, this is not covered in your warranty so be warned in case you break something.

Fortunately in this video, you can see just how to take the screen apart properly.

I’ll be replacing my N9 screen, which has a crack in the top right corner, following a video done by the same guy. But £95 for the digitizer seems to be the hardest thing about it all.

Gosh the adorable 700 running Belle PR1….
Well, now I have been using her (the red 700)and I am in love with this small beauty…

I completely disassembled my Lumia 800 just to see what’s inside :D
And it is much less cluttered than the 700!

I’ve dropped my phone a few times and the bottom 2 corners are now curved.
I wanted to replace the body(currently black, want Cyan or White) but unable to find it. Where can I get Lumia 800 body?
