Thanks for letting me know about how tiles work behind the scene, and I will not blame the 3rd party developers for not making interactive tiles on Lumia. It's simply impossible at the moment...

It is very clear that WP share the same failing rule as the old Nokia - Slow development

The OS development is too slow, and we still can't get some basic settings, sharing, or even as basic as a proper input method (for Chinese, Lumias in HK) after half year.

Symbian is however back on track now with proper updates. What Symbian lacking now is only smooth UI rendering and effects, and a larger screen resolution.

Hey, Nokia, Let's release 808 as soon, and get more beautiful devices with bigger screen for Symbian.

Well this is confusing, you mentioned symbian devices using dual core, that was supposed to be for Nokia Donna right? What about Carla? Will there still be a new range of single core symbian phones for Carla?

How I see this discussion is again stressing the mistake made by Nokia mgmt / Elop. There are proponents and demand for different user experiences.

Why kill Maemo6 and Swipe UI in high end devices as it looks like that the resources needed to create it and maintain were minimal in comparison to Symbian. They could have two excellent high end UI paradigms.

MS would ofcourse oppose and not allow it, since Nokia takin part to WP development would leak to Swipe as well.

For me WP looks pretty good, so far I just dont need it since N9 gives me everything for private and work life. I would love to have a single view on all communication between myself and other person independent of the channel. @incognito might be able to comment how doable this would be. My competences are limited to query languages. When they have been able to create the notification list, it should not be impossible to filter it by contact information? Answering using different channel must be more tricky to realize. In addition the contacts/persons mode should be possible to access also by other means that not only contacts icon (or quick launcher which is not available on homescreens).

Marko

He is only manager who can speak English and got that job because connections.

Elop is not the reason for Nokia fall down really. It was not only his voice in this matter there is same idiots in the lead who did not take the linux route (maemo) when it should been done.

Now Nokia has very small change to keep on surface. Meltemi is going to fail and it has no future as there is no help from MS to support Nokia's low/mid end platform and Nokia has no ecosystem and nobody wants to make apps for Nokia brand after the Qt/Meego fiasco.

Nokia stock most likely will keep falling to 1 euro marker.

@nn,

not at all. 1) I don't think I am above anyone - I do try to not sink as low as some sometimes do though 2) I just said they need to add more features - you want me to list them so that you would consider me as contributing to the solution? Ok, sure - multidelete pictures, BT files (yes, just don't think its such a massively important thing as some say), separate music and ringtone controls, MP3 ringtones (I never have and never will use them but can understand some are eager to get them), more Live Tile controls and functionality, some improvements to camera UI (although LOVE the camera roll features of it), NFC as a standard feature, lower level for level 1 music/ringer volume, some form of grouping/folders, better Xbox integration, better/faster native phone dialer would be nice but not a must, better Skype integration, more customization options would be neat (although again don't miss them much myself).. Enough? :) On non-OS side of course MS needs to increase specs on resolution and processors to keep up with the competition. Don't need micro SD myself but hey, throw it in for those who do. Lower price point models if possible.

I've mentioned most of these here and there and elsewhere in passing but I guess you have not noticed. :)

100% sure. All Symbian devices are cancelled that was going to use Dual-core.

They cant sell shit and even 808 wont make money for Nokia at this point. Cost for making that device are more high than they can make selling it.

Only reason even that phone did come out is PureView branding.
