why would anyone buy Lumia 900 outside usa when knowing that only 5 months to go for Nokia’s wp8 phones and Lumia 900 only getting strip down update package of wp8?

    • dss says:

I wouldn’t.. but a lot of people don’t care that much. And it will get more updates, maybe not the full version with the new kernel, but still..

    • Dave says:

why would anyone buy a one X or sgs III with jelly bean less than 5 months away and androids bad track record in updates

      • Skyfall says:

@Dave lol One x and sgs 3 will get FULL jelly bean update unlike those Mango running Lumias which will only get 30-40% features of wp8 os

        • Dave says:

Oh I must have missed that official announcement by HTC and Samsung. So how many months after JB release will it be?

    • Mark says:

Because it’s a decent phone and most people don’t care about updates.

Also, many people really update their phones after 6-12 months, so whatever is around the corner doesn’t stop them from buying what is available now.

Actually, personally I’d be more asking the question *in* the U.S. where most people buy with 2 year contracts. As an unlocked buyer, just sell the old one and buy a new (budget allowing of course).

900 in Australia (when it comes) will prolly come with this pre-loaded.

    Hi,

I saw white lumia 900 in phones4u and the os was Tango as market place had n at the middle of the tile.

  7. Matias says:

A little off-topic, but just listened the news (here in Finland) and apparently L900 is going to be for sale here starting from tomorrow and the pre-orders “have been well in line with the pre-orders for the new Samsung devices” (propably means SGS III). Can’t give you a source, too lazy to dig it up. Good news, nevertheless!

  8. Janne says:

Lumia 900 goes on sale in Finland tomorrow Friday, so expect more feedback from people then.

Liking the new blue comment buttons- looks much neater; but what happens to featured posts now?

  10. Nitin says:

I got my 900 yesterday here in Singapore…with the above mentioned OS version and firmware ….so I guess its a standard update comes with 900. There is option for internet sharing now in the settings :) the phone is fantastic!!

I have tried this Lumia and Windows makes this shitty device, I have gav it back to shop. Worthless.

  12. Janne says:

Verkkokauppa.com now seems to have available stock in Finland, in the colors too.

  13. Janne says:

I’ve now seen multiple reports of people getting their phones, so it is definitely out in Finland in all the three colors and sporting “Tango” with the Wi-Fi sharing and better MMS settings and so on. Also Nokia TV is installed standard, as is Tango Video Calls (unrelated WP “Tango”). The silicone cover is not in the standard package it seems, so that is extra (it is on sale and stock too, both the back covering and bumper style). The USB cable is white like the charger.
