Nokia PureLambda with OS 8.0.9842, Nokia PurePhi, Nokia Phi and Nokia Alpha spotted on WP Bench?
Apparently something interesting has been spotted. I don’t know how legit this is but this has appeared on wpbench. These pics were kindly sent to us by Stipan who was using wpbench on his Nokia Lumia 800.
On that he found listed, the Nokia PureLambda, Nokia Phi, Nokia Pure Phi and Nokia Alpha – with the Nokia PureLambda on OS 8.0.9842.
OS 8.0 is Apollo. What could PureLambda be? PureView? It’s too early isn’t it? Even Nokia themselves hinted it might take a year longer if they waited to bring PureView to Lumia rather than bring it out there and then on the 808.
What do you reckon? Is Nokia on track for their Apollo devices? Anyone grasping on the wisps of hope that they might bring PureView to Lumia too?

Nokia Phi was the original, and most likely of these to be a real device.
Nokia Lambda and Alpha, which mysteriously followed a few hours after the Phi news hit, are almost certainly pranks, as is the Pure prefix.

Did someone say that Nokia called N8′s optics as Pureview lite?
They could easily use the Pureview brand to all ‘enhanced’ cameraphones. Maybe they finally have something to match with N8 camera quality for WP?
I remember someone at Nokia say tgat N8′s sensor will be used in the lite version of PV and that will be one of the first WP PV..

Because they started popping up like crazy all of a sudden after the Nokia Phi. You can add those spoofed records with a simple http POST, so it’s not like it would take an extraordinary amount of trouble to play some pranks.
Exactly, especially since they’re inspired by phi, using other greek letters. I did leave _some_ room for the possibility this is indeed a trend internally, but, even I am cynical sometimes
Interesting, indeed. But even implementing use of the N8′s sensor using the pixel supersamplling of PureView would take a good deal of dev time. Unless our heroes Dinning & Co have been working on since Nokia got the source code for Apollo.
Imaging and audio will have to be the icing to Nokia’s badass design cake for ultimate success on WP platform
The N8 kind of does that already, if you put in 3mpix mode and zoom in, there is some oversampling going on

it was know last symbian os will be belle fp2 so I am sure those are different versions of windows mobile os alpha and phi successor of Apollo and purephi and purelambda are for pureview version

that depends on what kind of PureView tech we are talking about.. I am almost certain we won’t get the PRO version from the 808, but probably the N8 module branded as PureView for WP

when I was asking about lumia 900 at Elisa (Finnish operator, i think it’s our biggest?), the salesman hinted that he’d received and email from “somewhere” (didn’t want to give his tipper away), that Nokia is working on Lumia 950 that would come before christmas. He also said that “it will be truly different from the Nokia WP we now have”. Maybe one of these is a code name for Lumia 950? Anyway, it’s quite an sketchy tip so I wouldn’t count on it. Now off to buy a white 900 (:

nokia I want the symbian phones
. wp has many problems and not having many minor and major features(such as o wifi hotspot and no alarm ring when phone is switched off).
so symbian is king os and is perfect for nokia in my opinion.
