Video: Real life uses for Rich Recording #1 Gig recording

| June 9, 2012 | 14 Replies

If you’re at a gig, concert, festival etc, you might want to record a clip of the artist you’re listening to. If you’re sober enough, get your 808 out. Not only will you get some decent video but your audio will sound amazing too.

Check out these following videos from ‘Pinkpop 2012′. Get this playing on some decent speakers

PureView becoming the ultimate multimedia smartphone.

As I’ve said in the Tips section – the 808PV can really use some video stabilization algorithms. Us, humans, ain’t no tripods, and we shake while holding something, so those micro-movements should be smoothed out. It’s not as if the 808PV doesn’t have enough pixel data to do that on a purely software level.

Is the sun shining directly into the lenses? Why is there that washed out look in the third and fourth vids?

    • Rafaelinux says:

That’s completely post-processed brightness adjustment. Unnecessary, too

not the sun, the stage lighting.

the camera is partially blinded by the stage lightings.

    • PureViewClub says:

Yes, I learned from my source it indeed is the sun shining directly into the lense of the Nokia 808 PureView. First – not being present at the concert – I assumed the washed out look was because of the stagelights as well. My bad. But it has nothing to do with post-processed adjustments.
