Video: 1 hour with Linus Torvalds at Aalto University
Whilst not strictly Nokia related, this video that I came across through Reddit (amongst several other places) is indirectly what with Nokia’s history of Linux and the interest in the Nokia community about linux related projects.
Linus Torvalds, regarded as the Father of Linux, is a Finnish guy and here he is speaking at Aalto University in Helsinki. It’s just over an hour long but it’s a good place to start learning about Linux and its Finnish roots.

Thought it won’t happen. It’s all over now. Elop finished his mission and destroyed everything Linux related in Nokia. Funny “coincidence” is that his “former” boss M$ hates Linux and OSS.

you don’t need to pirate linux, you get many variations for free, although there are paid options too. there are more pirates on windows than on linux perhaps :p millions more!
windows = virus, malware, phishing problems, which linux has the least, less than mac osx too.
windows users are ill informed, (like you Mr. Bist)
windows was fugly too – they woke up and smelled the beans when OsX turned up. Linux has a lot of eye candy and choice – which neither os x nor windows has.

Not really, nvidia gets the finger for not giving developers the hw info they need to write open source drivers. So in fact the same could be said about Qualcomm,TI and other soc manufacturers, but not Nokia.

Microsoft gets some from Linus too:

nVidia has a history (several years) of being a PIA when it comes to binary blobs, nothing new here.
Ati/AMD in contrast started-off very bad, but has gradually gotten better & better.
Linus was just venting because nVidia is by far the worst serial offender.
