Accessories: Proporta Quillit Stylus Pen (Capacitive/Resistive/Pen stylus)

With drawing apps becoming popular (on both phone and tablet) I thought I’d check out what styluses are available today. The first one I’m checking out is a 3 in one. You might not want to carry a stylus on its own but if it’s also a pen, then that would be quite useful, no?

This is the Proporta, QUILLIT stylus pen that we got from MobileFun. You can check out other mobile phone styluses from there too.

It can be used for both capacitive and resistive touch screens as well as a pen. The stylus is metal and resembles a fancy, pretty looking pen.

The resistive nib is released by twisting the stylus in one direction and the other brings out the roller ball pen. At the other end, twisting brings out, not a capacitive nib but quite interestingly a brush.

This brush can also be used for cleaning the screen though I’m not sure it’s meant for that. Although it works with capacitive displays, the brush requires a teeny push, to the point that it kinda feels like you’re pushing buttons because of the give in the bristles. It’s nice though I think I might prefer a regular old capacitive nib (normally some kind of rubber).

This would also be useful for other phone operations (e.g. if it’s really cold or your hand is wet), but I find it most useful for drawing related apps. It certainly makes it easier than drawing with my index finger.
