Video: 3D Video with Nokia 808 PureView – A Day with Tim, Kie & Pip – a 3D Freerunning Film
Claudio mailed us to share this 3D video he shot with a couple of Nokia 808 PureViews.
That’s pretty neat – it was something I wanted to try out with the N8 ages ago but never got around to it.
The subject is pretty awesome too, Parkour/Free Running – and the 808 is just what should be filming things like this (NOT LUMIA, Nokia).
You’re gonna need a pair of RED/BLUE 3D glasses to see this.
We were challenged to see how we could use the mobile phones – the Pureview 808 in this case – and this was the result! Very impressive phones to say the least.
Starring:
Timothy ‘Livewire’ Shieff – @TimothyShieff – user/99timshi
Kie Willis – @KieParkour – user/kieparkour
Pip Anderson – @Piptrix – user/piptrix
I think those three guys would also look pretty awesome in a photoshoot where they’d be in action.

Thanks Claudio for sharing your video!

great stuff, only with #808 you can get such
We can now make movies with 808 pureview.
……well, ya. You could make movies with the N8-00. Have you seen Olive yet? or any of the Nokia film competition entries. You can watch all of the entries on Vimeo.
I’m wondering what they used to stitch them together.
um this movie is in horrible quality WTF
It’s 3D thats why. You need to wear red and blue glases.
Honestly I hate to troll. I know i am not on topic but i just have to vent this out.
After the amount of wonderful things i find online about the 808. How has nokia advertised it. There isn’t a single Advertisement here in India. (One Newspaper ad on the day of release is not advertisement).
They hardly seem to be pushing this phone. I know there is a WP strategy but this is ridiculous, why bother releasing the phone if they don’t want to sell it. When i went to the Nokia store they didn’t have the 808 in stock saying they didn’t receive shipment.
Went to another store that sells all the various mobile manufacturers phones, and got it from there.
Really disappointed in Nokia’s way of working.
Agreed. There was no marketing of the phone in Singapore either, and it only got one or two days’ worth of promotion on a local telco’s (not nokia’s) site.
Very strange tactic. Are they afraid that the 808 would actually eclipse WP sales?
+1000 @Shriek!
Same here in Malaysia. They just pushing the Lumia 900 to public and overshadow this wonderful Symbian phone. Imagine this; Nokia only supplied 4 units of 808 Pureview in Sabah (second biggest state in Malaysia) on the launching day! And worst of all, many resellers here think that ’41mpix’ is a typo!
Luckily, I’m one of the 4 lucky person to own an 808 in Sabah (Malaysia).
Yup you are really lucky. Its an awesome phone and just can’t seem to keep it down to do work
Just frustrating Nokia acting up like this.
you just bought the nokia 808?? which nokia shop you bought it from and can you tell me how much does it cost??
With a special pair of plug in shuttered glasses you can do LCD 3D as well
