A N8 sized, BSI type sensor with additional OIS would be really nice. If they could add a 3MP oversampling mode and increase the dynamic range (withoud HDR tricks) I would certainly appreciate Let’s see and hope…

Do you actually know how the iPhone 5 actually combines pixels? That is, do you know all the ways how it does it?

It’s not actually how the 808 does it.

This is something that has some new real world applications.

Besides, even the 4S get pretty close to the 920 levels if you only download one more App for it.

I’m a former N8 user myself. I think getting the N8′s module into an 11mm thick device would be a triumph in itself. I’m hoping the tech has come along long enough to actually do that. They could possibly even relaunch it as part of the pureview family.

I’m sorry, what is innovated about the iPhone 5′s camera? The iPhone 5 does hold a candle the the 920 in low light. This has been repeatedly proven. The 920 doesn’t. Use pixel oversampling (this impressive tech that Apple uses [which Nokia implemented on the808, and to a MUCH great extent and first in mobile]).

Strong possibility the next big camera phone from Nokia is going to bring Optical Image stabilization and pixel oversampling together. Lossless, zoom, perfect pictures in every instance, lossless zoom, etc.

Getting that Nokia camera to the levels of the iPhone 5? What? Are you serious?

About the iPhone 5, the pixel combining tech it uses appears to be quite innovative if innovative is a word that can be used when talking about mobile phones.
