Nokia’s Symbian touch devices were not competitive on the software usability and hardware support front.

Even had Nokia not been counting beans and gave the phone all the hardware it needed, the software still would have been the letdown on Symbian.

Glad to see the new Nokia changing this. The praise is wonderful for a Nokia fans ears.

If I didn’t have any developer baggage with Symbian and Meego, I would cross over to WP8, but now I’m holding out for BB10, Jolla Sailfish and Ubuntu on mobiles. Once you’ve experienced the dream (and nightmare) of cross-platform development with Qt and Qml, there is no going back to something Microsoft-only.
