Some good news for Lumia 920 owners in Australia who have their device on-contract with Telstra. After having indicated that the GDR2/Amber update will be live for users on August 14 (which didn’t happen), they have now stated that the update WILL go live tomorrow. What this means is that some (if not all) users will receive notifications on their device to update their software.

Hopefully it means unlocked devices, both here in Australia and around the world will start receiving the update soon. If not, it would seem that a carrier has released a Software Update to their devices before unlocked ones.

The Lumia 920 GDR2 update will go live from tomorrow morning (16 August). It was approved by Telstra on 5 August.
