Windows Phone grows 185%, second in 19 countries; Android iOS flat

TheNexWeb reports from Canalys‘ data that WP is second in 19 countries. iOS and Android stay flat.  WP’s growth of course attributed again to Nokia.

Devices with screens over 5″ are making up even more of the quarter billion smartphone sales (approx 22% of shipments!).

Similarly, IDC notes that in Russia, WP is ahead of iOS too.

But what everyone wishes is that Nokia keep up and perhaps even increase this momentum further.

Nokia’s new Lumia handsets will help shore up this position in the holiday quarter, but Microsoft and Nokia must ensure that momentum is kept up well into the New Year as the acquisition goes through to completion

Cheers Alvester for the tips!
