ALL Lumia with Android Apps? #WindowsPhone – Hello Malware? Bye bye WP devs?

Screen Shot 2014-07-08 at 11.06.40Regarding the rumours of an Android Lumia, Elmu has spoken up to give his ‘clarification’. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the name pop up. It was of course, Reddit that brought this to our attention (and equally Reddit that is skeptical).

Either way, let’s consider it more of a possibility given that @evleaks seems very sure about ‘Android Lumia’. Remember last week we heard about a breakthrough on Windows Phone that would upset the world about everything? Whilst some said that might be 3D touch, it could be Microsoft ‘solving’ the app divide by getting on the Android App train. Moreover, with Android going flat and square in Android L, the apps would look even cleaner and more uniform to Metro/Modern UI.

The execution would be via a Virtual Machine (VM) to run these apps. Elmu adds that there might be some similarities with BB10 regarding how this worked in comparison to native apps – Android 5 might not be compatible either.

How’s the whole Android thing working for Jolla? What would it mean regarding Malware?

How would it mean for people who are trying to work on the Windows Phone platform? What point would there be if they would just need an Android one?
