Flashback Friday: Louise – Cortana’s Predecessor, and Zune HD

Although Windows Phone had some voice control features from the onset, Microsoft had actually developed something more akin to what we see in Cortana back in the day. It’s just that only now we’re really getting to see it.

Before Cortana, there was Louise. Here she is adding appointments, reminders and showing points of interests. It seems to work well, except that it takes forever to work out what’s going on.

Outside of the phone, here it is working through skype. It listens to what you’re saying and gives you live info.

Whilst we’re here, take a look at this video of the Zune HD. Oddly top of R/WindowsPhone. The UI looks real nice…somehow flowing a bit more than what the original WP did.
