FireDragon brings us this concept affordable Nokia Asha XK with a QWERTY keyboard.

Concept: Ultimate Affordable Complete Smart Phone – Nokia Asha X & XK

The harsh truth for Nokia by Microsoft is that Asha series is no longer cool among teens in targeted markets. The sooner Nokia (I will prefer to call them Nokia) accept this the better they will plan for the future’s truly budget smart phones.

Why Asha is not cool any more? Because people are looking for more, and unlike past, now they can get more for less. I am talking about 70 to 90 Dollar Androids.

In order to compete at this price point, of course Nokia will have to compromises some of the hardware components in their budget Androids but judging by the users and personal experiences; I can say it is very doable and manageable.

So Nokia, let’s do the Nokia Asha X. An ultimate merger of two affordable brands of a company we can trust for its build and quality, to kick the competition where it really hurts.

Important to remember, these concept devices are to target consumers’ class that has been using one of Asha or lower phones. Price, brand name and screen size are major concerns for users of this class. Moving from 3inch or less screen to 3.5 inch display will be a logical step for them.

Concept: Nokia Asha X
Nokia Asha X will be identical to Nokia X2 in design, only smaller. Nokia Asha X will be pocket friendly, both in size and in price. 512mb RAM and 1GHz is already a proven workable combo which is paired with a 3.5 inches screen.

Concept: Nokia Asha XK
I have been using Touch only devices for some years now, but I want a capable Physical Keyboard device, and I am not the only one wishing for it so once again I had to add a keyboard to my concept. Specs will be identical to Nokia Asha X, with the smaller screen.
