Download Error 8018830f/0x80188308 on WP8.1 Cyan?

Whilst some people are downloading the Cyan update with ease, some are getting the errors “8018830f” or “0x80188308“.
The warning indicates that “it’s probably a temporary update problem” and that you can just try and selecting update again.
What’s the exact cause? We’re not yet sure. Some thought it might be a 920 thing though an ATIV user experienced the same thing.
I had to check for updates first as it did not tell me (yet) that the update was ready. Checking for updates took a while but then it began downloading the update. I’m currently “Preparing to install”.
