On the back of the new iPhone availability, The OneDrive Blog declares that iPhone users can get 30GB of free storage with OneDrive. Microsoft has only recently just increased the capacity from 15GB so this is very much welcome.

Unlike usual iOS/Android offers from Microsoft, WP users won’t be left waiting as this pretty much is open to everyone with a OneDrive account. It’s just Microsoft’s way of grabbing attention perhaps to target this to iPhone users.

It’s currently a limited time offer, possibly meaning it may go back to 15GB after this period for those who weren’t already OneDrive users at the time.

“With this limited time offer, we are excited to see even more people choose OneDrive as the one place for everything in their life.”

I’m on the paid OneDrive service as I take too many photos and videos to fit in this capacity. It has made syncing items to my mac an issue because my Macbook air has very limited storage. I’ve also been contemplating getting the student office 365 offer as I’d get 1TB for even less per month for 4 years.
